First female pharmacist honoured
A green plaque has been unveiled in Fleckney to honour Fanny Deacon, Britain's first female pharmacist.
She registered with the Pharmaceutical Society in 1869, but as a woman she was not allowed to become a member until 1879.
When she retired in 1930, at the age of 92, she was the oldest registered chemist in England.
David Parker from Fleckney Parish Council told Ben her amazing story.
