Unsung Heroes : Celebrating the Pioneers of Black Cinema
Many of them went unnoticed during their careers in Hollywood - but the Academy Museum in LA has a major exhibition on the contribution Black artists made to early cinema.
They also celebrate actress Hattie McDaniel, the first Black actor to win an Oscar - but who had to sit segregated from other artists.
