'The History of Sound' stars highlight importance of making LGBT-themed cinema
Hollywood stars Paul Mescal and Josh O' Connor have spoken out on the eve of the US release of their new film, about the importance of making movies with LGBT themes.
The movie, 'The History of Sound', by South African director Oliver Hermanus, is about two young men during World War I who set out to record the lives, voices and music of their American countrymen.
The film is released in the US at a time when the Trump administration has been criticized by leading activist groups, who argue that the government has mounted an assault on gay rights. Paul Mescal told Talking Movies that he was 'proud' to be part of the film. From New York, Tom Brook has more.
