Kateryna Buchanska was one of thousands of refugees who fled Ukraine in the wake of the Russian invasion in February 2022.

She was training as a doctor in the capital Kyiv, and still returns there to study despite the war continuing.

Now she and her mother live with a host family in Grantham, where Kateryna hopes to complete her training as an obstetrician.
