Hard Truths: Mike Leigh's First Film in Six Years
Mike Leigh has been the darling of independent British cinema for decades. Now the 81 year old filmmaker is back with his first film in six years.
'Hard Truths' reunites him with actor Marianne Jean-Baptiste, one of the stars of Leigh's Oscar-nominated and Palme D'Or winning 1996 film 'Secrets & Lies' and explores anger and depression in the main character, Pansy.
It premieres at the New York Film Festival tonight and will play in London next week.
