Thirty five years ago this week, the Berlin Wall that had separated East and West Germany for decades, fell.

In 2003, the film 'Goodbye Lenin' was released. Starring a young Daniel Br眉hl and directed by Wolfgang Becker, it was a semi-humorous look at how quickly consumerism overtook the former communist state of East Germany.

And as Emma Jones tells us, it made Br眉hl one of the new Germany's biggest stars.
