What are the signs of a fake DWP letter?
A letter may be posted through your mailbox today that tells you that the Department for Work and Pensions needs some details from you to ensure that you are receiving the right amount of benefits. It looks legitimate with the DWP logo, case reference number and even your name, but it is in fact a scam. It has led to some police forces issuing an urgent warning. Scam Interceptors’ Nick Stapleton explains how to spot the fakes.
