Menopause: Breaking South Asian Taboos
In some South Asian communities mentioning the word 'period' or 'menopause' is still a source of embarrassment and shame where a woman's value is tied to her fertility.

Veerpal is a clinical menopause pharmacist and she says many women suffer so badly that it can lead to friendships, relationships and marriages breaking up.
Veerpal and Inderpal had a conversation about how perimenopause and menopause has affected their lives.
