Blitz 85: I was buried alive
2025 marks the 85th anniversary of the Coventry Blitz. Codenamed Moonlight Sonata, the raid lasted 11 hours and involved more than 500 Luftwaffe bombers dropping 30,000 incendiary bombs across the city. The German attack claimed 554 lives and destroyed thousands of buildings.
Gordon Talbot was just 11 years old that night. Now 97, for the first time in 85 years, he has shared his remarkable story of what he experienced on 14 November 1940. He spoke to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CWR’s Richard Williams.
