Lilian Bellamy once described Vince Casey cryptically as having a striking face – not the sort you’d forget.
Initially considered by Brian Aldridge to be unscrupulous, abattoir owner Vince has mellowed somewhat since those early first impressions. Whether this is due to his embracing of a more bucolic lifestyle or the love of Lower Loxley’s Elizabeth Pargetter it’s hard to say. Having had an undefined number of ex-partners and a largely unsatisfactory love life Vince was charmed by Elizabeth as soon as they met, and they made the most of their genuine connection.
Ruthless and single minded in business, Vince maintains fifty percent charm and fifty percent iron fist usually gets him what he wants. His softer side emerges when least expected, and his children are his Achilles heel. He has no upper limit when it comes to Stephanie, Beth and Shelley.
Vince may favour flashy cars and good wine, but he remains very much a shepherd’s pie man at heart.
