Having never had strong black role models in her own school life, Claudenia wants to inspire students within Crown Woods. She is nervous about teaching a subject which is not her degree subject, but she relishes the challenge.

She is desperate to "get it right", as in her words, "it's not like losing a bit of money or a job or losing a contract or letting someone go, it鈥檚 about someone's life at the end of the day."

When she was at school she was known as a bossy boots and thinks that this assertiveness will serve her well in her new job.
