Gunnar is driven by strong feelings of guilt for his past as Mr. Sweden - a steroid junkie and spouse abuser. He is big, gruff and can seem threatening, but he is actually a nice guy with a good heart. He has many contacts in the underworld.

Gunnar has been divorced for a long time. He has two adult children with whom he hasn’t had any contact since they were young. He recently ended a relationship.

In his free time, Gunnar sings in a church choir and enjoys having a beer at the local pub.
