Karen Freestone has the makings of a good nurse but at home she鈥檚 a disaster. Her hobbies are drinking and clubbing and she鈥檚 always in financial trouble. She lives in a student flat and while she鈥檇 love to change things, she never actually gets round to doing anything about it. In the team she鈥檚 reliable, adaptable and completely non-judgmental, making her popular with both her colleagues and patients.

Carla is perhaps best known for her role as Donna in Queer As Folk. Her stage productions include Miss Julie and Habitat at the Manchester Royal Exchange and she played Castiza in a film version of Revengers Tragedy.
