Katherine Ryan is a Canadian comedian, writer and actress from Sarnia, Ontario. In 2006, having beaten cancer, she decided to translate her experiences into her stand-up comedy.

She first graced聽our televisions when she appeared on聽聽and has since appeared on other panel shows including , and Fake Reaction.

Katherine聽is also due to appear on聽Jack Dee's comedy entertainment show聽Don鈥檛 Sit in the Front Row and聽has performed a set on Frankie Boyle鈥檚 The Boyle Variety Show.

As a stand-up comedian, her performance relates to her experiences including divorce, illness and motherhood. Katherine was featured on聽the American show聽Last Comic Standing and has won the Nivea award. She was also runner-up in the Laugh Off competition in 2008.

As well as comedy, Katherine is also an accomplished actress, taking part in both TV and stage productions. She has had roles in various shows including (as Merc鈥檚 Assistant), (as George) and in .

Katherine only found her way onto the comedy circuit after moving to London with her partner (also a comedian) to work for a fashion magazine. She lives in London with her 4 year old daughter. 2013 will see her debut her UK stand up tour, .
