Colm Tóibín chooses a poem by Elizabeth Bishop (1911 - 1979) called Poem. Bishop was the American Poet Laureate 1949-1950 and won the Pulitzer Prize in 1956.

The first line of Poem is "About the size of an old-style dollar bill..."
