Japan elects the first female prime minister
Though Takaichi has now become Japan's first ever female leader, some of the country's young women say they are not convinced that she will advance their rights.
Sanae Takaichi, the new Japan's prime minister will have a major task ahead of her - to rebuild the trust of the public in her Liberal Democratic Party (LDP).
Many are still angry about the fundraising scandal that has implicated senior party members.
The Trump administration is redoubling its efforts to bolster a fragile ceasefire in Gaza. The US Vice President is due in Israel. The focus is turning to the next phases of the deal. We'll be looking at what it might take to rebuild Gaza after a huge level of destruction.
