I've loved the music of Fela Kuti for longer than I care to remember, so when I heard this, by his son, it was like a revival and a new take on rhythms and melodies that were close to my heart.
I'm involved with a not-for-profit DJ'd dance event held every fortnight in Huddersfield called Loose Feet where we play a wide range of global dance music to an expanding audience. Whether I'm DJ-ing or dancing this always gets me moving and takes me somewhere else.
