Tea and Mirella Hodzic, the singing sisters from SerbiaÌý

Singing Sisters

Listen to the item

Tea & Mirella Hodzic are Bosnian Serbs, raised by an atheist communist father and Serbian orthodox, non-muslim, mother.

Their parents were constantly singing folkÌý& revolutionaryÌýanti-Nazi songs which imbuedÌýthem with a strong sense of human rights. The sisters feel that by singing their songs at protest venues it’s a way of continuing the fight against injustice and keeping part of their family heritage alive...
