On
the film sets, you are said to work hard but play hard as well.
Did you get up to any mischief with Fardeen and Ritesh?
"All
the time. We couldn't help ourselves. The chemistry and rapport
between all of us, including the entire crew, was so strong, and
I'm sure this will reflect in the film."
The
only leading actress between you three guys was Vidya Balan. How
did she cope working with you all?
"I
think she had to bear the brunt of a lot of the jokes and pranks,
but she also has a great sense of humour. It felt like she was one
of the guys a lot of the time. She was a real team player."
Heyy
Babyy is said to be inspired by the Hollywood flick Three Men and
A Baby. How does this Bollywood version differ from its Hollywood
counterpart?
"Although
the storyline is inspired by the American film, which was itself
inspired by another French movie, the film has been reinterpreted
in that unique, quintessential Bollywood way, making it totally
unique and setting it totally apart from the Hollywood movie."
You
have already experienced filming in the UK with Namastey London.
Was it any different filming in Sydney, Australia?
"Yes,
completely different. They are both such different countries, each
with their own inimitable charm and qualities. The sea and sun were
obviously more prominent in Australia though."
We
have seen you in serious and comedy roles of late. Are we right
in saying that we will be seeing you soon in action films? If so
which projects are in involved in the near future?
"Action
films were my initial forte in the film industry, and I think I
have evolved far beyond that as an actor. For me, it's about furthering
the benchmarks of my creative talent, with every film I choose to
sign, and much thought and deliberation goes into my decisions.
For me, any role must challenge my capabilities, so that I can progress
to the next level. If the right sort of action script came my way,
I would certainly consider it."
Finally,
what message do you have for your massive fan following in the UK?
"Thank
you so much for your continued love, support and affection - I'm
touched deeply, every time I have the privilege of visiting the
UK and engaging with my fans there. Keep watching the movies and
keep spirits high."
