Miranda Sawyer's guest is Barry Jenkins who directed and co-wrote the LGBT-themed film Moonlight, which won Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay. Barry became the fourth black person to be nominated for Best Director and the second black person to direct a Best Picture winner. He will be discussing the music that inspires his soundtracks including his latest film Beale Street Could Talk, based on James Baldwin's novel of the same name.
