It may be one of the least discussed rites of passage, but is nonetheless loaded with enormous emotional weight - clearing out the family home. With their dad having recently moved into a care-home and their mum long since passed, Geoff Bird and his siblings set about sorting, sifting and clearing half a century’s-worth of stuff.
