Grounding

Available for 26 days

Grounding is a series which celebrates the unique perspectives and creativity of neurodivergent artists. Across the series they explore how neurodivergence shapes their relationship with music and highlight the songs that hold personal significance. Composer, producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Emma-Jean Thackray opens up about ADHD, OCD and autism diving into her lifelong struggles with sleep, from restless childhood nights to sleepless tours and vivid, dream-filled awakenings. She shares how masking, suppressing aspects of herself, and grief make it difficult to rest, but also how sleepless nights open space for creativity. Alongside personal stories, she offers the music that helps her through from BadBadNotGood to J Dilla finishing with a 20-minute calming mix to close the show. Produced by Granny Eats Wolf, working with The Donaldson Trust, The National Body for Neurodiversity.
