The York Island Arts & Heritage Association have produced a new play, ‘Who dares to speak?’ set in and around Saintfield in the days before and after the 1798 Battle. The play was written by Vivien Hewitt and is being put on as part of the Liberty Days Festival in Saintfield. We hear an extract depicting the rebel scene before the battle. (Broadcast: 10 Sep 2006)
