The Labour Party has joined the Foreign Office in calling for Saudi Arabia not to go ahead with the forced paralysis of a man as punishment for stabbing his friend ten years ago. The victim has been in a wheelchair ever since and a judicial order has now called for him to be paralysed as well, unless the 24 year old can find £180 000 in compensation. Former conservative MP Louise Mensch is campaigning politicians to intervene.
