The chairman of UKIP has admitted the party is sometimes seen as 'shambolic'' but stated the party does have sensible policies too. Steve Crowther was asked: "Aren't you better off being an angry movement with a slightly shambolic policy base? Because that's what people like about you, they don't want you to be a clever political party". He responded: "I actually agree with that, my feeling is we have to make it clear we are capable of having ideas...but if we are sometimes hard-edged or sometimes we stub our toe I don't think that's a problem, I think that is part of our brand".
