Prince Charles will still 'speak out' as King, says friend

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Prince Charles is a "visionary" who will not stop "speaking out" about issues that concern him if he becomes king, a friend says. Patrick Holden, CEO of the Sustainable Food Trust, said Charles would "adhere to key expectations" and be "sensitive" about the boundaries, but would behave "differently" to the Queen. "Every generation kind of reinvents themselves to a degree," he said. "He's shown a lot of vision and courage in the past in drawing attention to issues which ought to be public concern... which gives him, I think, a certain license." This clip is originally from Afternoon Edition on November 20 2014.
