Sigourney Weaver backs "final Alien" film prospect

Kermode and Mayo's Film Review

Available for over a year

A mooted "final Alien" film from director Neil Blomkamp would be a "very interesting prospect" according toseries star Sigourney Weaver. Weaver, who has starred as herione Ripley in the four Alien films so far, says Blomkamp - who directs her in the upcoming Chappie - has concepts which interest her, but added any film is still far from being finalised. Speaking to Simon Mayo, Weaver said, "if he [Blomkamp] is serious as he seems to be about writing and directing another final alien, so we can take that poor woman out of drifting in space for the last time, I think that would be a very interesting prospect." This clip is from Kermode and Mayo's Film Review on Friday 27 February 2015.
