Talking Heads lead singer David Byrne is this week curating the Meltdown festival in London, and he will be performing the music of a little known Nigerian musician William Onyeabor. In the 1970s, Onyeabor brought the latest in synthesiser technology and self-produced several albums of hugely forward thinking music. Then he stopped and the music died, until it was discovered 30 years later - by David Byrne's record label. He told Matthew Price about the discovery.
