Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown paid tribute to Don Howe, who has died aged 80, saying “If you were a defender at a football club, you couldn’t ask for a better coach.” Howe became one of the most well-respected coaches in the history of the English game. The full-back played for West Brom and Arsenal, earning 23 England caps, before establishing himself as a renowned coach for club and country. “He made us feel special.
