Gayle comments 'not acceptable anywhere'

Sport Today

Available for over a year

West Indies batsman Chris Gayle has been fined just over $7,000 for asking a female journalist on a date during a live interview. Gayle, who is playing in Australia's Big Bash League, was responding to a question from Ten Sport's Melanie McLaughlin. Lisa Sthalekar is a former World Cup winner for Australia. An all-rounder, she was the first woman to score 1000 runs and take 100 wickets in one-day internationals. She says Gayle's comments are not acceptable anywhere: Picture: Chris Gayle.
