Former Aston Villa captain Andy Townsend describes Villa players Joleon Lescott and Brad Guzan as "immature" after reports their behaviour angered fans during the 1-1 FA Cup draw with Wycombe. Villa are without a win in 16 matches and goalkeeper Guzan and defender Lescott were accused by fans of not taking the club's plight seriously while on the substitutes’ bench on Saturday. Townsend says the players "have to recognise the massive commitment [the fans] are making to the club". “There's nothing coming back for those fans at the moment other than misery,” he said. “It's immature and it shows a bit of ignorance to the situation to where the club are at".
