Equal prize-money ‘puts women's cycling on the map’

Sport Today

Available for over a year

This July's RideLondon Cycling event will offer record prize money for a women's one-day race. Even more significantly, the female winner will receive the same amount as the winner of the men's race - 28 thousand dollars. Australia's Rochelle Gilmore won Commonwealth gold during her 15 year career on the bike. She's now owns the Wiggle High5 Team. Rochelle has been telling Sport Today what a landmark moment this is for women's cycling.
