Candidates for the world's top diplomatic post, the United Nations secretary general, are, for the first time, openly competing for the job in New York. The current holder, Ban Ki-Moon, will step down at the end of this year. As part of the selection process, people from all over the world were invited to submit questions for the candidates to answer. 12-year-old Katie Busby from Sandbach High School in Cheshire was one of those to be chosen. Her question, "Even if you're not selected, how would you try to help our world become a safer, happier, healthy place?" was put to Irina Bokova, a Bulgarian candidate who is currently the director general of Unesco.
