5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

The man in charge of auctioning off Pele’s memorabilia, Martin Nolan of Julien's Auctions, has told 5 live “there is huge interest from people all over the world to own something from his life and career.” Two thousand items are up for grabs, including elaborate crowns and ceremonial daggers, model ships and jet fighters, clocks, dishes, and freedom-of-the-city keys from various places. The auction has already raised more than three million pounds with part of the proceeds being donated to the largest paediatric hospital in Brazil. This clip is originally from 5 live Drive on Tuesday 7 June 2016.
