Clean Bandit, with their song ‘Rockabye’, have been announced as the official Christmas number 1 for 2016. Jack Patterson, from the band, spoke on 5 live: “It’s a big shock, we’re all very very happy” When asked about his dad betting a pound on Clean Bandit reaching number 1, he continued: “Yeah he did, and my mum even had a go at him for that! She said it was a waste of a quid!” Clean Bandit formed in 2008, when they met at the University of Cambridge. In 2015 they won a Grammy award for Best Dance Record with ‘Rather Be’.
