An Olympic stadium is now a refugee welcome center

Boston Calling

Available for over a year

Montreal's iconic Olympic Stadium has undergone a temporary transformation into a welcome centre for asylum seekers coming from the US. There has been such a huge influx of refugees that the facilities normally used to house new arrivals have run out of space. Mireille Paquet, from Concordia University in Montreal, says that this is a result of President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
