How young are young carers?

Woman's Hour

Available for over a year

This Friday ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½1 and 2 will be devoted to the annual Children in Need appeal. It’s not uncommon for a child to become a carer if a parent is too ill to do the shopping, the housework and looking after siblings. What impact does that have on the child’s life? Naomi Sykes is the Project Co-ordinator for the Young Carers Transitions Project. Jessica is 18 and has been a carer for four years.
