Conservative Brigg and Goole MP Andrew Percy reacts to resignation of seven Labour MPs

Andy Comfort

Available for over a year

Seven Labour MPs have resigned from the party over Brexit and anti-Semitism. The MPs, none of whom represent any constituencies in East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire, described their decision as 'painful but necessary'. The Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said "I am disappointed that these MPs have felt unable to continue to work together for the Labour policies that inspired millions at the last election.". The Conservative MP for Brigg and Goole, Andrew Percy, says he is not surprised by their resignations. He has been speaking to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Humberside today about the anti-Semitic abuse that he has also experienced.
