Serkan Golge was a scientist for NASA when he was arrested in Turkey. He was visiting family there in July 2016, when some members of the military attempted to overthrow the government. Serkan was accused of taking part in the coup, which he denies, and has spent the past three years in jail. He was finally released in late May 2019 but his life back in the US is just a memory.
