Behind the bar since the Second World War

Sarah Walker

Available for over a year

Kirsten O'Brien was joined by a local landlady who started pulling pints at just eight-years-old! While this might sound shocking though I should probably explain that this was at the height of the Second World War when everyone was expected to do their bit to keep things running. Heather MaCaulay's family has owned and run The Bell Inn in Aldworth for two-hundred and fifty years and recently earned the pub the Campaign for Real Ale's Pub of the Year award.
