More than seven years ago on the 22 August 2015 eleven men were killed when a vintage Hawker Hunter jet crashed into the A27 on approach to the Shoreham Airshow. In her opening remarks on the first day of the long-awaited inquest the West Sussex Senior Coroner Ms Penelope Schofield apologised to their families. Some of those families then gave ‘pen portraits’, telling the court what their loved ones meant to them. Our reporter Ben Weisz was there - and will be everyday it sits over the next 4 weeks.
