Reading fire: watching a crane rescue from the ground

Available for over a year

On Thursday 23rd November, a major fire broke out in the centre of Reading. Black smoke billowed from a building on Station Hill - and there was a dramatic crane rescue of a workman, footage of which went viral. This was all described by ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Berkshire reporter Alex Meakin, who was on the street surrounded by workers whose buildings were evacuated on the morning of the fire. Alex shares his experience of that day. For more on this story, check the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ News app.
