A64: Concerns over Old Malton verges

Available for over a year

A post on social media asked the local authority to cut the grass at the A64 roundabout near Old Malton, claiming it was too high. This attracted over seventy comments sharing concerns over the lack of visibility of oncoming traffic. In response to the concerns raised North Yorkshire Council's highways area manager, Richard Marr told us "We always listen to residents' concerns around overgrown grass which is impacting visibility. Please be assured that we will cut the area around the roundabout on the A64 in the next few days." A National Highways spokesperson said: "Our team will be visiting the Old Malton roundabout and the A64 in this area and we'll arrange for the area to be made safe and any further maintenance to be carried out as necessary as soon as possible."
