Hereford's D-Day Jeep to return to Normandy

The vehicle will be crossing the channel to mark the 80th anniversary of the landings, as part of a thousand-strong convoy of well-wishers and 350 ex-military cars, as part of The Military Vehicle Trust. The Normandy beach landings resulted in more than 10,000 Allied casualties, with more than 4,000 killed - but kick-started the liberation of France and victory on the Western Front.
