Southport comes together in quiet remembrance
Southport Knife AttackAvailable for over a year
Vigils and remembrance events have been taking place across Merseyside as the whole country comes to terms with the events of the last week. In a joint statement, Merseyside's faith leaders said the children’s families should be "at the forefront of all our thoughts†adding that the stabbing had "shocked and appalled" people of every faith and those of none. Today in Southport, in a church close to where the stabbing took place, a service was held for around 150 people, who congregated in solidarity and mourning.
