Arson attack 'makes us scared to leave our farm'

Farmwatch

Available for over a year

Rob Charles, whose buildings at Egghill Farm in Frankley were set alight, says the fire has had a lasting impact on his young children. He tells Tammy Gooding that, whilst the buildings are protected by alarms and cameras, the increasing problem for farm fires is the value of machinery, with tractors alone costing six figure sums. At time of publishing, a man has been charged with two counts of arson after the blaze, and is remanded in custody.
