Shropshire provides the perfect backdrop for Channel 5's new whodunnit, Murder before Evensong. Based on Reverend Richard Coles’ Sunday Times best-selling debut novel, the six-part murder mystery is set in the 1980s and was shot in Bridgnorth, Dudmaston Hall, and Worfield. It follows a country rector whose quiet parish life is shattered when a body is discovered in his church. One of the locations used in the filming was The Travel Wallet in Bridgnorth.
