Known info - Unidentified
street in unidentified area
Michael This could be Stocks Hill in Ecclesfield. The tall building
is now a private nursery. The gradient is spot on.
Kerry Could be Carr Hill which leads on to Balby Road in Doncaster.
Carol Walker Definitely not Parkwood Springs where ski slope is now, but
looks like where The Wellington pub used to be which is now the
Hillsborough Hotel.
Shaun Flanagan I believe this is the top of Fox Hill, Pitsmoor. It runs between
Fox St. and Rock St.
Laurence Trigg - As a lad I used to hike up this hill with a
big bag of newspapers every day. I'm pretty sure it's Blake St.
Andrew Myers - Possibly top of Blake Street. Taken from below
Blake pub looking across the road and up the hill
Deakin Chris - Looks like the steep hill leading to Nicolson
place, Heeley
Daryl Slinn - Top of Bedale Road at junction with Abbeydale
Road round the back of the old Abbeydale Picture Palace what is
now Shah's Grocers
Glenn Dalton - I agree, Bedale Road
bambam - blake st. the corner shop
is still there today. but i dont think its a shop now
Lara Fahning - Looks like the tall steep hill at bottom of
pitsmoor just cant remeber its name
lisa williams - i know that road its myrtle road. thats the
steepest road i know
Paul Steele - I know Mr Myers is very familiar with The Blake,
however I fear the beer may have clouded his judgement. The shop
at the top of Blake street was/is far more ornate & longer in
design. The other properties look all wrong also. I'll wager you
a pint Andy.
kevin garnett - top of well road heeley..the "boilers"pub
is on the corner.
Christine Scott - I think it's Kent Hill turn right at the
top onto Nicholson Road, Heeley.
Lisa - may be hill going up to were ski slope is now.
Alan Dixon - Definitely not Bedale Road. I used to play on
it as a child and lived across from it until in my teens.
J Skelton - i think it may be the road known as champs hill,
with the railway entrance where the photographer is standing Brunswick
rd runs at the bottom. and pitsmoor flats at the top with vernon
road.
