What do you do, exactly?
I'm a Producer at ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Learning English. This means I create content for the and websites (e.g. The English We Speak, Words in the News, Take Away English). And I have fun chatting with our audiences on Facebook and Twitter.
How long have you worked for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Learning English?
For more than two years now. Oh, time goes so fast! And, between you and me, it's been a bit of an adventure as I am not a native speaker of the English language.
What other languages can you speak?
I speak Portuguese and Spanish. But also some Italian, especially after a good meal. And French, after a nice glass of wine. Not much French, though. I must learn more.
What's your favourite website (other than Learning English)?
My background is in Journalism and I follow the news closely. The website is very good, and I also read websites of the main newspapers in Britain, the US and Latin America. I use * a lot too. People are very generous and upload videos that can teach you a wide range of things, from styling your hair to writing codes for computers.
What's your earliest memory?
Playing with my brother in a sandpit in a playground. No sandcastles for us; we were serious kids on a mission: we were two astronauts on the Moon surface! We must have been 4 or 5.
Where's your favourite place, and why?
I like a sandy beach on a summer afternoon, when it is not very crowded. You can feel the warmth of the sun on your skin, but also the breeze. And I love the sound of waves breaking on the shore. It is very calming and gives me a sense of reassurance: like the waves coming one after the other, a fresh opportunity will always arise for each and every one of us.
