Ranjit Sondhi updated members on recent Board of GovernorsÂ’
meetings, and the response to a questionnaire sent to advisory council
members on areas of special interest or concern to them which they
might be willing to explore with the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½Â’s programme makers.
Management Update
Andy Griffee, the Controller English Regions, presented his management
update to members. It included a number of current initiatives and
looked at some of the opportunities and challenges facing the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½Â’s
English Regions in the future.
RAC Programme Reviews
ENF members presented the key issues to have emerged fromtheir respective
RAC programme reviews in relation to the current affairs series
Inside Out, Children in Need and network drama output.
External Assessment 2002
Louise Hall, Secretary English Regions, summarised the findings
of the independent external assessors panel on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½Â’s four
Open Centres. Members then discussed how the Open Centre and Mobile
Zone initiatives might be developed in the future to meet the differing
needs of different local communities.
RAC and LAC Business Plans 2003/4
The ENF formally approved the proposed advisory councilsÂ’ business
plansfor the next business year.
ENF Presentation to the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Board of Governors
Agreement was reached on the three ENF members who would represent
the Forum at the annual presentation to the Governors in April 2003.
Members also considered the issues to have emerged from their respective
advisory councils to date.
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½i Where I Live Sites
Louise Hall promised to circulate a list of the dates and venues
for the website demonstrations to be offered to advisory council
members.
